First Disney Trip

We went to Disneyland this past week. We went 8 days, and I could have gone more. On the way down to California all the girls on the Borg side got to see KA, a Cirque De Soleil. WOW it was so amazing that I cried. I would see it again, I loved it. My grandma, Bert, Dad and Ty watched James while we went. They got to go to an Angels game in California. When we finally got to Disney James did so well. He loved the characters, and some of the rides. But he sure let us know when he was mad. We went with my family and the Snelgroves. There were two other babies, both adorable little girls. But James did not like them, I think he was jealous. When my dad would hold another baby James would get so mad. We also went to Disneyland's Halloween Party and James was Mickey Mouse. The poor kid has no chance, I am making him a Disney freak already.

James started eating his first rice cereal on September 22. He is not getting full off of milk anymore. He did not like it at first, but he is getting the hang of it.

My little brother plays for Viewmont's JV football team. I made James a onesie just for his uncle T.

First Vacation

James went on his first vacation with the Bowen's to Yellowstone. It was hard because he had to be in his car seat for such a long time. But he loved it. It was fun to be with them and to get away. It was hard for me to be out of my comfort zone of home with him. Traveling with a baby is hard, but I had family to help.

Wow I have not posted anything in a really long time. It is hard to find time to do this. So I am posted a bunch of different things. First, we had James blessed on August 2, 2009. We had a lot of family and friends come and it was a awesome day. My dad did dutch oven scones and we had a scone bar. James decided to poo right before Bert took him up. Bert said that he smelled awful, but no one else could smell it. He wore a white Hawaii outfit that my mom had bought in Kona, he was so cute.

I can't believe our little boy is one month old. He turned one month on Saturday and we went and got his pictures taken. I am finally getting a little used to being a mom, and I think I kind of got him figured out. I did not realize how much I would love it! I am tired, but I really don't mind getting up to feed him during the night, I just love him so so much. Here is a cute one month picture, he is starting to smile alot!!

Wow what a blessing it is to have James in our lives. It has been an adjustment, but worth it. Here are some funny things that he does. He farts so much, and they stink, I think he gets that from me. He grunts so loud when he is shooting a duke. He peed on me so many times I can't even count, and once right in the mouth. Whenever Bert holds him he always reaches for his face, and they watch baseball games together, it gets me off the hook. One last thing, he so noisy when he sleeps it took us a while to get used to that. Here are some random pictures of our little man.

Our baby finally arrived on June 11, 1009 at 8:13 am. He weighed 6 lbs 11 oz. and was 19.5 inches long. Delivery was not bad at all, the movies make it look so much worse than it really is. He is such a good baby and rarely cries. He actually slept through the night last night. It is weird to be a parent, but very much worth it. It is scary to try and get adjusted. I don't understand how they survive parents that have no idea what they are doing. But at least he does not know any better either. Here are a few pictures of our baby. Hopefully I will be better at posting pictures now that I have him.

Wow, it really has been a long time since I have posted. The baby is doing so great and I am 5 weeks away from my due date. I have had some great showers, and gotten tons of stuff. So thank you to all that gave me such wonderful gifts.

When Bert and I first got married I really wanted a cat. Bert does not like animals so much, so we decided that we would get a cat and when we had a baby we would give him away. Well sadly that time has come. He is such a good cat. He is neutered, front de-clawed, indoor, and up to date on all his shots. This is hard for me to do, but I think it will be better with a new baby in the house to not have a cat. If you know of anyone please let me know. I want to give him to a nice family. 6 months

I have hit my sixth month. I am feeling really good but this little boy is a kicker. The other night I woke up at 2:00 am and started to count how many times he kicked me. I counted 60 times in 20 minutes. I hope he is not that active when he comes out. Bert and I got his room ready today. It is getting to feel more real and I am way excited. Megan (my sister) could even feel him kicking me today. Happy Valentines Day.

5 Months

I am 5 months now. I just had my ultra-sound and everything was great. I was so worried. I had drank so much water that my bladder was squishing him and he was laying flat so she could not see anything. So I went to the bathroom and baby and I were much happier. He for sure is a boy, I am glad because we have already gotten a ton of stuff. I am feeling so much better. I am enjoying food a little too much. I can't see my toes anymore (I like an excuse to have a gut). I also have a picture of me in my Twilight shirt, Bert gave it to me for Christmas.

We are having a little boy. We are very excited. It would have been the end of the Bowen's if we didn't. We went to fetal foto last night with my parents, grandma, and in-laws. He was moving a ton and I was just so glad to know it had arms and legs. For some reason I was really worried about that.

You all probably know already...but we are Pregnant!!! I am 14 weeks along, and am still feeling pretty sick. They said I was supposed to feel better after three months, but I think it is getting worse. Oh well, at least I am not throwing up at work anymore..my poor students. My due date is June 2nd, which is my mom's birthday. My original due date was May 24th, which was my dad's birthday. Well if we have it on one of their birthdays they will pay for it, so cross your fingers for me. We are so excited! I will keep you updated, we are having an ultra-sound on Monday the 15th to find out what it is. I think it is a boy, and Bert thinks it is a girl (One of us is right). The funny thing is that I told my husband that I would not have a child when their was a republican president, so we are very lucky!!!

I just had to post more pictures. I especially had to post the one of my Graduate class. Wednesday was my last day of school. So I am now officially done with my Master's!! It was a long process, but I learned a lot and made some good friends.

Disney World

We just got back from Disney World. It was wonderful as always. It rained a bit, but the hurricanes missed us. It was one of the first times that I was able to not think about work at all. It made it easier to come back to reality. I just need my Disney kick and I am ready to go. Too bad I need that kick every three months (expensive therapy). I am posting more pictures on my mom's blog, because I can't figure out the slide show thing.

We went to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, all 8 of us adults trick-or-treated until we dropped. Here is the candy to prove it.

I have been putting off blogging, but I am sucked in. We have had quite a few amazing vacations this summer. Here are a few pictures of DC, and Hawaii. I will get some up of New York and Philadelphia soon. Sorry it is a mess, I was figuring this out as I went.

This is Bert and Steph at the Lincoln Monument. I did not realize how big everything was.

We stayed at a J.W. Marriott, we felt out of place. The Tingey's (our friends from Utah that moved to Pennsylvania) met up with us. She was due in three weeks from this picture. It was so hot, but she was a trooper.

We got to ride up to the top of the Washington Monument, that was an amazing experience.

This is the beautiful DC Temple. I could not get enough of it.

I went star gazing on top of a volcano. The view was amazing, but it was so cold, we had coats and gloves on.
